At Ackton Pastures Primary Academy, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and in need of emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s responsibility and that we all have a role to play.
In recent years we have seen an increase in children who are struggling with their mental health and parents who are unsure of what to do, or what help and advice is available. Please use the links at the bottom of this page if you wish to seek further information.
The emotional wellbeing of children is just as important as their physical health. Good mental health allows children and young people to develop the resilience to cope with whatever life throws at them and grow into well-rounded, healthy adults.
If you have concerns about your child there are a range of professionals who can offer advice including your GP. If you wish to speak to a member of school staff please see your child’s class teacher or make an appointment to speak with Mrs Stringwell.
