Digital Technology in the Classroom

To ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning schools must keep pace with technological advances and evolve appropriate pedagogy.

What this means:

  • empowering teachers and learners to be as effective and efficient as possible in the use of technology to enhance learning
  • improving access to devices to achieve equity across our Trust
  • ensuring staff and pupils are trained in the use of technology
  • supporting our academies through effective CPD and advice
  • providing a framework and best practice guide
  • develop a suite of resources for all curriculum areas
  • develop Digital Champions in all of our academies

We have Digital Champions in all our schools and have invested in 1:1 Chrome Books for all our Key Stage 2 pupils across the Trust.

Our Digital Champions have developed a Trust-wide computing curriculum with progressive strands in partnership with the Computing Hub and are developing resources which support learning across other curriculum areas.

We are clear in our aim that digital technology should support pedagogy.
