Digital Strategy

The recent pandemic highlighted the importance of digital technology in supporting children to learn.

Technology very quickly enabled teachers to adapt their pedagogy to allow children to learn remotely.

Evidence shows that digital technology supports education and can optimise learning when used in a blended way.

School closures also highlighted the inequality and injustice in the remote learning experiences of students attending digitally mature institutions and many of their less advantaged peers.

The lack of schools with clear digital strategies is one of the root causes of this injustice- we have to now be ambitious for our children and ensure that these inequalities are reduced.

We also have a duty to prepare our children for a future where digital technology plays a much larger part in business and social aspects of life.
